Our Itinerary:

  

 So here is our plan:

• Fly to Rome and spend a few days tootling around.
• We had planned to take a train to Bari, rent a car, and drive to Martina Franca, but for some reason, the morning fast train isn't available that day. So we will either fly or rent the car in Rome and drive straight to Martina Franca.
• With the car, we can visit other inland towns, and plan to spend one night in Matera.
• Then to southern Puglia with an apartment in Marina di Marittima, with day trips to Otranto and Lecce.  
• We will return the car in Lecce and take a train to Polignano di Mare for a few days before ending in Bari.

Our  Girls' trip to Puglia is planned for June 2026!  Two professors, a rented car, with a war a few thousand miles away, but still: what can go wrong? 

We plan to enjoy the ride.
